Redshirt-sophomore tight-end Trevor Kardell was found by Daniels for a six yard touchdown pass that put Kansas on the board first.

On the Blue Devils next drive, Duke responded quickly with sophomore quarterback Riley Leonard's successful 49-yard pass to the Blue Devils for their first down.

Jaylen Coleman, a redshirt junior, ran the ball in for five yard and added a successful extra point. The score became 7-7.

At halftime, Kansas led 21-13 over the Blue Devils and Daniels had 259 yards, three touchdowns, and 11-for-12 on passes.

The Blue Devils were threatening in their five-and-a-half minute drive. But the Jayhawk defense stopped them on 4th and 1.

The Blue Devils scored their first half-time score in the fourth quarter with a three-yard running touchdown by Jordan Waters, a redshirt-junior running back.
