NFL legend Franco Harris dead at 72

Franco Harris is the author of "Immaculate Reception" which was the most iconic play in NFL history.

Franco Harris spoke of 'Immaculate Reception' with Chris Russo shortly before his death.

Harris' son Doc told the press that his father had passed away but did not give a cause of death.

Franco Harris died two days before the play's 50th anniversary.

Harris has won four Super Bowl rings with the Steelers in the 1970s and ran for 12,120 yards.

After retirement, Franco Harris served as president of "Pittsburgh Promise" which provides college scholarships
